Don't Miss the Journey

On our recent vacation, Kristen and I took the kids to play mini golf. It was fun to watch our youngest as she typically took her ball and placed it in the hole without ever hitting it. She would not take the time, the effort, or accept the challenge. She wanted instant gratification. We do this in our Christian lives. I think we often want the quick fix. We want to go straight to the hole and never experience the journey along the way. God is shaping each of us. Put the effort in and trust the journey He’s guiding. I’m not sure we actually sink the putt anyway until our journey here is complete and we are with Him.
