My three year old brought something to my attention a few evenings ago at the dinner table. He was struggling to get something on his fork and complaining, then just put his fork down and pouted. We looked at him knowing that he needed help and asked if he had a problem. He said, "I can't do it." We then said (like we have in many other situations before), "What do you need to do?" After a lot of prompting, we got him to finally admit he should ask for help instead of giving up and getting mad.

Sound familiar? For some reason we all have that instinct and desire to do things independently, never needing help. We will put up a good fight, complain and sometimes pout a little before we let our guard down and finally ask for help.

Who is our ultimate helper in life as a Christian? Are you letting Him help you? Do you look many other places before running to Him for help?

"The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles." - Psalm 34:17 (NLT)

Do you need help understanding the Bible? Ask.

Do you need help with self-esteem? Ask.

Do you need help making a tough decision? Ask.

Do you need help just to face another day? Ask.

There is nothing too big or too small. Place it in His hands.

Kristian Stanfill sings this powerful song about our help coming from the Lord.
