A Crayon Reminder

Do you ever have moments where you just HAVE to praise God because He has spoken to you in a big way? Well I did a couple of weeks ago, and I just have to brag on how awesome my Jesus is.
Lately, I have been struggling big time and have been very convicted about my attitude, especially at work...
Before lunch, I was cleaning up art supplies a couple of my classes had been using (to make Vietnam veteran thank you cards) and came across an OLD crayon with my name written on it.
The crayons in my class are mine from way back in elementary school, and I remember every year before school started when I had all of my supplies, my mom would take the time and write my name on EVERY SINGLE CRAYON. That seems totally crazy, especially because I usually always had huge packs of crayons. And I remember thinking mommy was a little silly for doing that (but also thinking I would be beyond devastated if I ever had a "hole" in my crayon box.)
When I saw that orange crayon that afternoon I was completely overcome with gratitude for my awesome mom but especially thankful to The Lord for giving me SUCH awesome parents!! I sat and cried at my desk for probably a good 20 minutes because I realized that probably most of the students I have do not have mothers or fathers who would take the time to do little things like that for them (like write their name on 72 crayons) And because God gave me that wonderful childhood memory, I realized that I have the huge responsibility to pass that kind of love on to my students. I have NO reason to have a bad attitude about it!!
It may seem really weird that Jesus spoke to me through a crayon, but He did.. BIG TIME and it was exactly what I've been needing... And yes, I taped that little orange crayon to my computer as a reminder.
Are you struggling in any area of your life right now? If the answer to that is yes, I have two questions for you.. 1. Have you prayed about it as much as you’ve complained about it? And, 2. Are you looking for those “crayons” or little reminders in your life?
Thank you, Jesus for the little things in life that remind us of our calling and ultimately, Your love.
