Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Wow, God! This is exactly what You did for us at church camp this weekend! Far more than we asked for or thought possible! I sit here in awe to think about what You accomplished in the lives of our teenagers and our leaders in just a short amount of time away from home. I knew going in, there was potential for You to do something mighty, something HUGE, and yet I never expected many things I witnessed this weekend. And I know I’m not alone in my amazement!
Thank You Jesus for saving a soul! Thank You for working on hearts and opening hesitant lips. You definitely surpassed the vulnerability that we asked for. Thank You Jesus for helping our eyes to see You!! Thank You for using young people to speak of how You’ve worked specifically in their lives. Thank You for the unity that took place this weekend, that was simply amazing!
Lord, I pray this was simply the beginning of things to come! Please God; take what our teens experienced with You at camp far beyond a scheduled event! God, we know You meet us in life, not just when we get away from it all, but in the middle of the mess and stress!! God, help them to speak freely and courageously to their families and their friends of who You are and what You are doing!
I know You did this! I know You are not finished! I know that we cannot begin to understand the impact long-term of things that were spoken, of sin confessed, of struggles and pain brought to the surface. God, help us to continually point our teens to the gospel and equip us to counsel them and comfort them when they need it!
Thank You for making this possible. For those who invested of their time, their hearts, and their energy! We refuse to take credit for what You’ve done and ask You to help us to keep that mind set. What a weekend to remember! I’m looking forward to what You’ll do next! In Jesus name!
Amen.
