Manhunt!

A few years ago, my old band Goodbye Utah was at my house and we were bored out of our mind. We had just finished up our practice that evening and were seeking something fun to do. My friend Nathan Blake had this idea to play a game called Manhunt. He said it was a little like flashlight tag and I had never even played flashlight tag. Well we called some friends over from school and began this adventure called Manhunt. To tell you a little bit about the game, it HAS to be played at night. That is the only way. There are two teams, hunters and prey. Hunters have flashlights and prey do not. The goal is to find all prey before time runs out and we usually do it in 10 minute rounds. Once all prey is found, the last person found is declared winner and gets their choice of team. There are many hiding spots available at my farm and they range from hay bales to truck beds, horse stalls to chicken coops. The biggest adrenaline rush EVER is when you’re hiding and someone comes super close to finding you but they pass on by. One round, probably my favorite round ever was when my friend Joey and I were hiding in the rafters of our little pool house. (The biggest rule in the game is NO LIGHTS ON IN BUILDINGS). My cousin Brad and my friend Andrew Saunders both walked in at different times and looked all around the room, flipping everything upside down. We were lying flat across the rafters facing each other and had to step on the pool pump to get up there! I could have literally breathed on my cousins’ head and he would have found me. Even though I gave away one of my best hiding spots, it was well worth telling the story!
...SO COME TO PLAY MAY 23rd - Manhunt and Bonfire. See you there!
