Challenges of Faith

As you probably could tell from the announcements, I’m not from around the greater tri-state area. In fact, I’m originally from Michigan, and yes I do root for that “team up north.” Just like Ohio State and Michigan are fierce opponents, we too face opponents in our lives that challenge our faith.

This past Friday, Steph and I were surprisingly welcomed by 2 woman who were Mormon missionaries. This wasn’t the first time we were met with Mormons, and we always try to show the love of Christ to anyone and everyone. As you can imagine our religious backgrounds are very similar, yet also very different. Our Mormon friends asked us questions about our church, our Christian views, and any questions we had about their faith. After our friends left, Steph and I discussed our encounter and how sad we felt for them because they were so close to seeing the true light.

In life, your faith will be tested. It may be with your group of friends, in a classroom, or some missionaries of another religion will show up at your door. My hope and prayer is that you will be firm in your faith, being true ambassadors of Christ.
